Booster Seat for Eating

Using a booster seat for eating is a great way to include your small child at family meal times. A seat that allows them to be at the same height as the rest of the family will allow them to see and learn from their parents and siblings. As every parent knows kids love to be treated as grown ups and a booster seat for eating will help to develop their sense of progressing, growing up and doing more and more things for themselves. The importance of eating together cannot be overstated. Research shows that eating family meals together improves children’s school grades by up to 40%. Starting early means you child will come to expect to sit down and behave during meals. Some booster seats come with a tray, however it may be worth considering getting one without a tray (or at least not using it all the time) to make them feel properly included. Getting out and about to cafes and restaurants can be difficult, but there are practical, portable solutions around. One of easiest to use (and clean) is a fabric highchair called the Totseat. The Totseat adjusts to any chair including high back chairs making it versatile enough to use when visiting friends and family as well as in cafes and restaurants. Designed relatively recently by a mum who wanted to get out and about with her baby Totseat now sells all over the world. This chair doesn’t boost the child up but ones that do tend to be rather bulky to carry around. Whatever booster seat for eating you choose enjoy eating with your child and remember their table manners will improve with age.
